HOW A PELLET THERMO FIREPLACE CONNECTED TO RADIATORS WORKS
A pellet thermo fireplace is a pellet fireplace connected to the home heating system. The flame heats the water in the system, which carries the heat to the radiators in the other rooms, while part of the heat stays in the room where the pellet thermo fireplace is installed. The pellet thermo fireplace thus combines the visible flame of a fireplace with the heating of the other rooms of the home.
Klover makes two pellet thermo fireplaces: PELLET FIRE PLACE 160s and PELLET FIRE PLACE 240s. The product sheets declare an efficiency of 93% for both, with a heated area of 150 m² for PELLET FIRE PLACE 160s and 220 m² for PELLET FIRE PLACE 240s.
In both Klover pellet thermo fireplaces the pellets are loaded into a built-in tank, combustion is managed by an electronic control unit and the connection to the heating system goes through a hydraulic kit with circulator, which is part of the appliance.
HOW A PELLET THERMO FIREPLACE IS CONNECTED TO RADIATORS
A Klover pellet thermo fireplace is connected to the radiators through the hydraulic kit with circulator. The sheet of PELLET FIRE PLACE 160s lists it as standard, the sheet of PELLET FIRE PLACE 240s as integrated: in both cases the circulator, the pump that moves the water between the thermo fireplace and the heating system, is already in the appliance.
The output of a pellet thermo fireplace is split into two figures. The nominal heat output to water is the heat that goes to the heating system and from there to the radiators. The nominal heat output to the room is the heat that stays in the room where the pellet thermo fireplace is lit.
PELLET FIRE PLACE 160s declares 9.6 kW to water and 2.9 kW to the room. PELLET FIRE PLACE 240s declares 11.6 kW to water and 3.4 kW to the room. In both Klover pellet thermo fireplaces, most of the heat therefore goes to the heating system.

HOW MANY SQUARE METERS A PELLET THERMO FIREPLACE HEATS
PELLET FIRE PLACE 160s declares a heated area of 150 m², PELLET FIRE PLACE 240s of 220 m². The declared efficiency is 93% for both Klover pellet thermo fireplaces, and the energy class is A+ for PELLET FIRE PLACE 160s and A++ for PELLET FIRE PLACE 240s. A home of up to 150 m² therefore falls within the area declared for both models.
The heated area is the value declared on the product sheet: the actual area in a home also depends on the insulation of the building and on the system the pellet thermo fireplace is connected to.
PELLET FIRE PLACE 160s measures 76.5x68x69.5 cm, weighs 210 kg and has a flue outlet of 80 mm in diameter; the sheet describes a compact structure for versatile installations. PELLET FIRE PLACE 240s measures 88x77x87.5 cm, weighs 220 kg and has a flue outlet of 100 mm in diameter, with a larger structure.

THE PELLET TANK AND PELLET LOADING
The pellet tank holds 25 kg on PELLET FIRE PLACE 160s and 62 kg on PELLET FIRE PLACE 240s. Both sheets describe it as a long-autonomy tank without giving a number of hours: how long a load lasts depends on the output at which the pellet thermo fireplace is running.
Pellets are loaded from the front, with a pull-out drawer: the pellets are poured in from the front of the thermo fireplace. On PELLET FIRE PLACE 240s the sheet mentions a drawer dedicated to loading.
The controls of the two Klover pellet thermo fireplaces are on a touchscreen display, which the sheets describe as intuitive, and the electronic control unit manages operation with precision.

THE FLAME, THE GLASS AND DOMESTIC HOT WATER
Both Klover pellet thermo fireplaces have a double door with a cool outer glass: the door seen from the room is separate from the door that closes the combustion chamber.
PELLET FIRE PLACE 160s has a wide glass front, which the sheet describes with a bright, clear and striking flame. PELLET FIRE PLACE 240s has an extra-large glass that enhances the depth of the flame.
PELLET FIRE PLACE 240s also declares the option of producing domestic hot water, in addition to the water for heating. The finishes are the same for both models: Inox, Avorio, Bronze and Matt Black.

KLOVER WOOD THERMO FIREPLACES
Alongside the two pellet thermo fireplaces, Klover makes four wood thermo fireplaces: ZEUS FRONTAL, ZEUS CORNER R, ZEUS CORNER L and TKR 27s. All four declare 10 kW to water and a heated area of 220 m², and have the Sistema Sicuro Top, the system patented by Klover to connect wood-burning products to the home heating system. In the ZEUS line the Sistema Sicuro Top is made entirely of stainless steel, and TKR 27s has a compact format.
The output, dimensions and connection of the wood thermo fireplaces are explained in the article on the wood thermo fireplace in the Klover Magazine.
All six Klover thermo fireplaces are made in Italy. The full product sheets, with all the technical data, are on klover.it, and a quote can be requested from the page of each product.
