HOW PELLET STOVES WITHOUT A CHIMNEY WORK
A pellet stove always has a flue pipe, but it does not necessarily need a chimney already built into the building. A pellet stove with no pipe does not exist: every pellet stove has a flue outlet, and the pipe carries the fumes out of the house. The flue pipe of a pellet stove does not have to rise inside an internal chimney: it can follow a path of its own and, in some cases, leave through the wall.
Klover pellet stoves, from the 6.4 kW of nominal heat output of MISS to the 11.7 kW of AURA 120s, OMEGA 120s and OMEGA 120s PLUS, all declare in the data sheet a flue outlet with a diameter of 80 mm. The diameter of the flue outlet is a fact about the stove. The path of the pipe after the stove is instead a fact about the house: it depends on where the pellet stove stands, where the pipe must end and what hosts it. For this reason a technician decides it, case by case.

PELLET STOVE WITH WALL EXHAUST: HOW THE FUMES LEAVE
A wall exhaust is the installation in which the fume pipe of the pellet stove passes through the wall and exits outside the building, instead of rising inside an internal chimney. In some cases it is built with forced draught, that is, with a fan that pushes the fumes along the pipe instead of letting them rise on their own.
The most common path of the fumes leads above the roof of the building, and a wall exhaust remains an exception to be checked before choosing the pellet stove. The conditions are checked by a technician: the condominium regulations and the municipal ones, the height and position of the fume outlet, the installer's project. Until this check is done, there is no way to know whether a wall exhaust is possible in a specific house.
The 80 mm value is the same on all Klover pellet stoves, so it does not set one model apart from another and concerns only the connection of the stove. The exit of the fumes from the building, its height and its route are part of the installer's project.
WALL PELLET STOVE: WHAT PEOPLE LOOK FOR AND HOW MUCH SPACE IS NEEDED
The search for a wall pellet stove covers two different requests: a stove that takes up little wall space and an exhaust that passes through the wall. An exhaust that passes through the wall is always assessed by a technician, case by case. As for space, the measurements in the data sheets answer.
The slim pellet stoves ASTRA 100s and DIVA SLIM AIR 100s measure 90 cm wide, 27 cm deep and 113 cm high, with 9.7 kW of nominal heat output, an efficiency of 94% and 90 m² of heated surface. With 27 cm of depth, the slim pellet stove takes up a narrow strip of floor along the wall. The two slim pellet stoves are described in the article on the small and slim pellet stove.
MINI PELLET STOVE WITHOUT A CHIMNEY: THE MEASUREMENTS OF THE MISS
Even a mini pellet stove has a flue pipe. The Klover pellet stove with the lowest output is the MISS: 6.4 kW of nominal heat output, an efficiency of 91.4%, 60 m² of heated surface and dimensions of 50 cm wide, 54 cm deep and 75 cm high.
The flue outlet of the MISS has a diameter of 80 mm, the same as the 11.7 kW Klover pellet stoves. A pellet stove that is small in size therefore does not have a smaller flue outlet, and the route of the pipe must be designed with a technician as for any other pellet stove. The heated surface of 60 m² applies with certified pellets, a compliant fume exhaust and a home of average insulation.

PELLET STOVE WITHOUT A CHIMNEY FOR 100 M²: WHICH OUTPUT
The Klover pellet stoves that declare a heated surface of 100 m² or more are three: AURA 120s, OMEGA 120s and OMEGA 120s PLUS. All three declare 11.7 kW of nominal heat output, an efficiency of 94% and 110 m² of heated surface. The Klover pellet stoves from 9.7 to 10.1 kW declare 90 m², those of 7.8 kW declare 70 m².
The declared heated surface applies with certified pellets, a compliant fume exhaust and a home of average insulation. The volume counts as much as the floor plan, because a high ceiling needs more heat for the same number of square metres, and the final calculation is made by the technician on the real data of the house. The same technician defines the route of the flue pipe: the output of the pellet stove and the fume exhaust are decided together.
In short, a pellet stove always has a flue pipe, even when the building has no chimney, and a wall exhaust is a solution that only a technician can declare possible in a specific house.
