Small and slim pellet stove: 27 cm deep, 90 m² heated

A Klover slim pellet stove is 27 cm deep. It is the measurement of the ASTRA 100s and of the DIVA SLIM AIR 100s, which share the same body: 90 cm wide, 27 cm deep, 113 cm high, 9.7 kW of nominal heat output and 94% efficiency.

Those 27 cm change the way the appliance sits in the house. A pellet stove that is small in depth takes up the band of a low cabinet and leaves the passage of a corridor clear. The 90 cm width spreads the same volume over a wider front, with a shape close to that of a wall fireplace.

The published slim pellet stoves are seven and they share the same data sheet: four ASTRA 100s, in the steel, GLASS, GRES and CARBON versions, and three DIVA SLIM AIR 100s, in the stone, STONE and WOOD versions. The cladding and the weight change, from 170 to 190 kg. Output, efficiency and size do not.

Each model declares its heating surface. The seven slim pellet stoves state 90 m². The compact pellet stoves rated at 7.8 kW state 70 m², and the MISS, rated at 6.4 kW, states 60 m².

The figure holds under normal operating conditions, that is with certified pellet, a flue to standard and an averagely insulated home. Volume counts as much as the floor plan, because a high ceiling asks for more heat over the same square metres, and the final calculation is made by the technician on the real data of the house.

A pellet stove that is small in size is therefore not a pellet stove of little output. The slim models are rated at 9.7 kW with 94% efficiency while staying within 27 cm of depth. All the air pellet stoves named here are declared in energy class A+.

The second way of taking up little space is the front. The KRONO 80s, the KROS 80s and the KLIN 80s measure 48x52x100 cm. The AURA 80s measures 48x52x101 cm, the SOFT 8s 48x53x106 cm, the CLASS 90s 50x54x108 cm. All of them are rated at 7.8 kW of nominal heat output with an 80 mm flue outlet.

Weight follows size and says how simple it is to carry the appliance where it is needed: 110 kg for the KROS 80s and the KLIN 80s, 120 kg for the KRONO 80s, 125 kg for the AURA 80s, 128 kg for the SOFT 8s, 155 kg for the CLASS 90s.

The two measurements answer two different problems. Where depth is missing the 27 cm of the slim models do the work, where the front is missing the 48 cm of the compact models do it. The MISS measures 50x54x75 cm, and therefore works above all on contained height.

With the same body, the cladding is what changes from one model to the next. The ASTRA 100s is entirely in painted steel, in the Avorio, Bordeaux and Matt Black finishes, and its family includes the GLASS, GRES and CARBON versions.

The DIVA SLIM AIR 100s carries two vertical panels in natural stone at the ends of the steel front, in the Cream Stone and Soap Stone finishes; the DIVA SLIM AIR 100s WOOD is finished in natural wood.

Among the compact models, the MISS comes in three identities: Steel Matt Black, majolica in the Avorio, Bordeaux and Matt Black colours, and Soap Stone. It weighs 110 kg and has the raised base, which lightens its presence.

Inside the 27 cm of the ASTRA 100s and of the DIVA SLIM AIR 100s sits the full equipment of Klover pellet stoves. The patented self-cleaning brazier frees the residues with a partial and reverse rotation and discharges them into the ash pan, with no work by hand. The patented Pellet Cruise Control system regulates the feeding of pellet and air on the real demand, instead of working through ignitions and shutdowns. The combustion chamber is in HD vermiculite.

The warm air comes out through the Cyclone ventilation, adjustable over five levels, and daily cleaning goes through the Frontal Clean system. The controls sit on the touch handset with built-in chrono-thermostat, and the appliance is also managed from the phone with the KLOVER HOME App: ignition, shutdown, output and temperature, from anywhere. The flue outlet has a diameter of 80 mm and both families allow ducted ventilation; the DIVA SLIM AIR 100s has the Top Exit outlet as an option.
