HOW A HEAT STORAGE WOOD STOVE WORKS
A heat storage wood stove stores part of the heat of the flame in materials with a high thermal capacity and releases it slowly, even after the fire has gone out. The Klover heat storage wood stove is SWISS CORE: inside its structure it has the Core storage system, high thermal capacity refractory elements that store the heat and release it gradually even when the stove is off.
SWISS CORE declares a nominal heat output on wood of 8.7 kW, an efficiency of 85.6% and a heated surface area of 80 m². The SWISS CORE product sheet sums up the design in one sentence: the heat that stays, even when the flame goes out. The heated surface area is a product sheet reference: how much the stove really heats depends on the insulation of the house and on the climate zone.
Among the Klover wood stoves, SWISS CORE is the only one with a storage system declared in its technical sheet. Other Klover wood stoves hold the heat in their cladding, made of natural Soap Stone or majolica: this is a different principle, which concerns the outer surface of the stove and not its interior.
HOW THE CORE SYSTEM HOLDS THE HEAT
The Core storage system is the technical heart of SWISS CORE. The high density refractory elements are placed inside the structure and, according to the product sheet, are able to hold their temperature for hours. The stored heat returns to the room gradually and steadily.
The result described by the SWISS CORE product sheet is a long-lasting, natural and silent comfort, which stays with the home well beyond combustion.
Two solutions distribute the heat in the room. The perforated top in steel encourages the natural convection of the air, which rises and spreads without noise. The front ventilation makes the diffusion of heat in front of the stove even.

HOW BIG IS SWISS CORE AND HOW MUCH DOES IT WEIGH
The SWISS CORE heat storage wood stove measures 48.4x49.6x140 cm and weighs 170 kg. SWISS, the same stove without the Core storage system, measures 48.4x49.6x116 cm and weighs 145 kg: the two stoves have the same footprint and declare the same output and the same efficiency.
The weight of 170 kg is the first figure to check, together with the floor that supports it, before installation.
The flue outlet of SWISS CORE has a diameter of 150 mm: the heat storage wood stove must be connected to a compliant chimney flue, like every wood stove. The product sheet indicates SWISS CORE for contemporary spaces, mountain settings and bright interiors, where the stove becomes a silent protagonist of comfort.

THE COMBUSTION OF SWISS CORE
The combustion chamber of SWISS CORE is made of Keramik HD refractory, which the product sheet declares to have high efficiency and reduced emissions. It measures 340x460x254 mm in width, height and depth.
Combustion is controlled with a single combustion air adjustment, for intuitive and immediate management of the flame. The handle is made of investment-cast steel, solid and ergonomic.
The ceramic glass front keeps the flame in view and is declared bright and resistant. The airtight ash drawer makes cleaning practical and safe.

SOAP STONE: THE STONE THAT HOLDS THE HEAT
The cladding of a wood stove can also hold the heat. MISS WOOD STONE is clad in natural Soap Stone, which the product sheet describes as having a strong thermal power. It declares 5.9 kW, an efficiency of 85.7% and 60 m², in 50x54x75 cm for 130 kg.
The top and the base of MISS WOOD STONE are made of cast iron, and the product sheet describes the top as able to spread a constant heat. The product sheet indicates MISS WOOD STONE for modern, rustic or organic style rooms.
OLYMPIA STONE, the wood stove with oven in Soap Stone, declares 9.4 kW, an efficiency of 85.2% and 100 m², in 50x54x125 cm for 160 kg. According to the product sheet, Soap Stone holds the heat, releases it gradually and extends its diffusion over time, while the enamelled cast iron top has a high thermal yield for an even and constant heat.

MAJOLICA: THE HEAT THAT SPREADS GRADUALLY
MISS WOOD PLUS and OLYMPIA PLUS are the Klover wood stoves clad in majolica, in the colours Matt Black, Bordeaux and Avorio. The MISS WOOD PLUS product sheet describes majolica as able to hold the heat and spread it gradually and naturally; the OLYMPIA PLUS product sheet indicates a gradual diffusion of heat.
MISS WOOD PLUS declares 5.9 kW, an efficiency of 85.7% and 60 m², with a thermally stable cast iron top, for modern living rooms, classic rooms or spaces with a contemporary taste. OLYMPIA PLUS declares 9.4 kW, an efficiency of 85.2% and 100 m², with a stainless steel oven, for contemporary kitchens, welcoming living areas or rooms with a classic character.
The claddings of the Klover wood stoves are described in the article on wood stoves in majolica and Soap Stone. The full product sheets of SWISS CORE and of the other Klover wood stoves, with all the technical data, are on klover.it: a quote can be requested from the page of each product.
